    INGREDIENTS

    • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
    • 1 brown onion, diced
    • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
    • 500g Arborio rice
    • 2 ½ cups stock (type is optional)
    • 200g smoked ham
    • 1 cup frozen peas
    • 30g parmesan cheese
    • 20g butter

    DIRECTIONS

    1. Using your Pressure Express Digital Pressure Cooker, select the SAUTÉ setting then press the START/CANCEL button to commence cooking process. Add vegetable oil in the cooking bowl, and allow to heat up.
    2. Add onions and sauté for 3 minutes. Add garlic and sauté for another 5 minutes. Then add rice, mix, and cook for a further 3 minutes.
    3. Add stock and stir until fully combined, and finally add ham and peas.
    4. Securely place and seal the lid onto the pressure cooker. Select the  WHITE RICE setting and press START/CANCEL button. Allow to cook until pre-set cooking display time is complete. (Select the ‘WHITE RICE’ setting manual Kambrook Pressure Cooker).
    5. Release the pressure from the pressure cooker by turning the pressure release valve to the right. Carefully remove the lid and stir through the parmesan cheese and the butter.
    6. Serve with a sprinkle of cooked peas and parmesan cheese.

TIP: This dish can be made in a larger batch and frozen into smaller portions.

TIP: If using a slow cooker, follow steps 1 and 2 in frypan. Once you add the stock and spices, turn slow cooker onto high and cook for 6 hours. Then follow steps 3.

This recipe was developed using a Kambrook Appliance.

      when using Grams
( not everyone, has a set of measuring scales in their kitchen )
