Sticky Pork with Gai Lan and Shitake Mushrooms

    INGREDIENTS

    • 400g pork fillets, cut into strips
    • ½ cup char sui sauce
    • 2cm piece ginger, minced
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • 1 bunch gai lan, roots removed
    • 200g shitake mushrooms, quartered


    DIRECTIONS

    1. Place the pork, char sui sauce, ginger, garlic and soy sauce into a bowl and stir to combine. Cover with plastic wrap and place into the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
    2. Heat the wok to setting 10 for 3 minutes and then add the oil and pork and allow to brown on each side for approximately 3 minutes.
    3. Add the sauce mixture, gai lan and shitake mushrooms to the wok and stir to combine. Place the lid on top of the wok and allow to cook for 2 minutes.

     

    NOTE: You can serve this with steamed rice or serve as is.
