Ingredients
- 125 grams butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup golden syrup
- 2 tablespoons treacle
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1 cup plain flour sifted
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup shredded coconut
Directions
- Preheat a fan forced oven to 180°C.
- Place the butter, sugar, golden syrup and treacle in a saucepan and stir over a low heat until ingredients are combined. Add the bicarb and whisk until light and fluffy.
- Remove from the heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Add the flour, oats and coconut.
- Roll into 1/2 tablespoon sized balls and place onto baking trays lined with baking paper. Bake for 12 minutes and cool on cake racks.
