    INGREDIENTS

    • 2 cups self raising flour
    • Pinch of caster sugar
    • Pinch of salt
    • 1 tbsp  butter
    •  1 cup milk
    • Extra self raising flour, for dusting

    DIRECTIONS

    1. Sift the flour, caster sugar and salt together in a large mixing bowl. Rub the butter into the flour mixture with your fingertips.
    2. Make a well in the centre of the flour and gradually add the milk mix well. Continue adding milk until the mixture forms a soft dough.
    3. Preheat the air frying oven to 200°C by turning the timer dial to 5 minutes.
    4. Turn the dough out on a lightly floured surface and knead gently until the dough is smooth. Divide the dough in half and shape each to fit into rectangular baking tins that fit inside the Air Chef basket. Place the prepared dough into each baking tin and dust the top of the dampers with a little more flour.
    5. Once the ‘HEATING’ light goes off, turn the timer dial to 20-25 minutes, depending on the size of damper you are baking. Place the prepared dough in the baking tin into the Air Chef basket and allow to bake or until it is golden and cooked through (test with a skewer, if it comes out clean, the damper ready.
