Chilli Sausage Rolls

    Ingredients

    • 500 grams sausage mince
    • 1 brown onion peeled, roughly chopped
    • 2 clove garlic
    • 2 tablespoons chilli flakes
    • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
    • 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
    • 4 sprigs thyme
    • 5 sheets puff pastry thawed
    • 1 tablespoon milk

    Directions

    1. Preheat a fan forced oven to 190°C.
    2. In a food processor bowl, place the mince, onion, garlic, 2 teaspoons chilli flakes, tomato paste, breadcrumbs and thyme and process until combined.
    3. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper. Slice sheets of pastry in half and remove plastic backing.
    4. Evenly distribute the mince mixture amongst the pastry sheets and form a thin sausage shape. Roll the pastry sides to a close, over lapping underneath.
    5. Brush sausage rolls with a small amount of milk and top with remaining chilli flakes.
    6. Bake for 40 minutes and serve with tomato sauce.
