    INGREDIENTS

    • 2 slices ginger
    • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
    • 1 brown onion, thinly sliced
    • 1 large red chilli, thinly sliced
    • 2 shallots, 2cm pieces
    • 2 cinnamon sticks
    • 3 star anise
    • 2 tbsp fish sauce
    • 2 limes, juice only
    • 1.5 litres beef stock
    • 1 cup bean sprouts, to serve
    • ¼ cup coriander leaves, to serve
    • ¼ cup basil leaves, to serve
    • ¼ cup mint leaves, to serve
    • 400g meat of your choice, to serve

    DIRECTIONS

    1. Place the ginger, garlic, onion, chilli, shallots, cinnamon, star anise, fish sauce, lime juice and stock to the soup maker jug and place the soup maker blending lid on top and secure to the base.
    2. Select the ‘CHUNKY’ soup setting and then select the ‘START’ button.
    3. Serve with bean sprouts, coriander, basil and mint.

      When does the chicken go in? Cooked separately and added in at the end? Thanks

      Hi Brigid. The chicken goes into the soup maker in step 1 with all the other ingredients.
