This is my favourite Blitz2Go shake that I have made to date.  We have had our Blitz2Go for well over a year now and it is used regularly.  I love the compact size for storage in between uses and it is quick, easy and convenient to use.  One it’s most common uses here at this time of year is to make after school shakes.  I like to use up any left over pieces of fruit in the fruit bowl that the kids are pretending do not exist.

My children are generally very happy to eat fruit and vegetables, they  enjoy a wide variety of both but there does always seem to be a piece of fruit that they will not go near for no apparent reason that I can determine. On the flip side they are more than happy to have a shake or smoothie after school so that is where that final piece of fruit ends up.

This recipe was created following my regular Friday morning exercise class. This particular morning it was icy cold and there was a constant drizzle of rain. I felt like I needed a little reward after showing up and doing my session in the rain! There is absolutely no way in the world I would have contemplated exercising, let along doing it in the rain a few months ago.  My little taste test of this Spinach Coconut Water Shake resulted in the whole lot being drained in a few seconds. I left my 4 year old pondering his mouthful and wondering if he wanted more or not – too late!!

Spinach is in season across Autumn and Winter. It is a great source of vitamin A, potassium and calcium* This recipe is super quick and simple to make in the Blitz2Go and it will provide you with a little boost for the remainder of the day.
