Kale is one of our family favourites in Winter. We became quite addicted to it a couple of years ago when we started growing it in our vegetable garden. It featured across the cold months as a snack each Sunday afternoon when we stop work and relax together at the end of the week before a new one starts. Each Sunday we have a snack session. The kids love it and we get a chance to relax and chat about the new week. Kale chips with parmesan and chilli became a favorite. Since then we have been eating in it many other forms and I love to add it to meals during this period.

It is abundant in Winter and a wonderful source of Vitamins A, C and K. Why not add it to a smoothie? Coupled with the zing of natural yogurt and lime juice this smoothie will get you moving in the morning.

Limes are also in season in Winter and tend to be lovely and juicy, unlike when they are not in season and are hard and almost juiceless.

As with all smoothies in the Blitz2Go this one is quick and simple to make, ready in just a minute.

If you prefer less zing – use just one lime.
