Competition Terms & Conditions

Kambrook Summer School Cooking Challenge Campaign
'Game of Skill Competition'

  1. Information on how to enter and the prize draw form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
  2. The Promoter is Breville Pty Ltd trading (ABN: 98 000 092 928) of Building 2, Port Air Industrial Estate, 1A Hale Street, Botany, NSW 2019.
  3. The registration period commences on Monday 1st December 2014 at 00:01 (AEDT) and concludes on Friday 30th January 2015 at 23:59 (AEDT). Any entry received after the promotional period has closed will be deemed invalid.
  4. The entrants will be drawn at the offices of Breville Pty Ltd (ABN: 98 000 092 928) of Building 2, Port Air Industrial Estate, 1A Hale Street, Botany, NSW 2019 by a judging panel, on the following dates:
    Entries Drawn x 4 will be on – Tuesday 2nd February 2015 @ 11:00am (AEDT)
  5. Entry is open to all residents of Australia who are 18 years of age or over. If the entrant is under 18 years old, you must have your parents’ permission to enter. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, participating outlets and their agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible.
  6. Finalists will be notified by writing and phoned or emailed within 3 business days of the draw. Competitors will be published on A Perfect Pantry website at www.aperfectpantry.com.au and also on the Kambrook Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/kambrook on the following dates:
    Finalists Announced x 4 will be published – Tuesday 17th February 2015
  7. Finalists x 4 will receive the following Kambrook Appliances as a gift for participating in the competition:
    • Blitz2Go Active (KBL63) valued at $49.95
    • Food Processor (KFP600) valued at $99.95
    • PowerMix Planetary Bench Mixer (KEM800WHT) valued at $199.95
    • Air Chef Air Frying Oven (KAF200) valued at $169.95
  8. Total prize pool for finalists prizes: $ 519.80
  9. Upon receiving the Kambrook appliances, competitors will be required to cook 1 x main dish and 1 x dessert in order to compete in the cooking challenge
  10. Competitors will need to purchase their own ingredients for the dishes they create at their own cost, in order to participate in this promotion.
  11. The cooking challenge period will commence Monday 23rd February 2015 and finish on Sunday 1st March 2015. Competitors will have that week to cook both dishes and upload recipe information, cooking instructions and a photo of both dishes, to a competition page on the www.aperfectpantry.com.au website
  12. Competitors will receive instructions during the week Wednesday 18th February 2015, on the cooking challenge prior to challenge commencing
  13. Should the prizes not be received by competitors in readiness for the Cooking challenge to commence on time, then the competition will be paused until such a time when all competitors receive their prizes, and all finalists will be notified of upcoming dates to compete
  14. As acceptance to the cooking challenge, competitors can and will only be eligible to receive the Kambrook appliances as a gift, if they agree to compete in the cooking challenge. Competitors will be notified both via phone and email and must reply to the emails in writing with their acceptance of the terms and conditions of entry
  15. Competitors must agree to follow all terms and conditions and must also adhere to the timing of the competition start and finish dates of the cooking challenge. Entries for dishes created will not be accepted after the entry period ceases.
  16. Competitors in the cooking challenge must use the Kambrook appliances to cook their dishes with and will be provided a list of requirements for the challenge upon receiving notification of their opportunity to compete
  17. Should an entrant to the competition not reply with their acceptance, in order to compete in the cooking challenge within 3 days of receiving their notification, they will forfeit their chance to compete, and the Kambrook judging panel will draw another entry. This competition will not incorporate the second chance prize draw within a 3-month period. Due to the timing of this competition, entrants will be required to reply within given time frames, to ensure the cooking challenge runs on time
  18. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. By entering into this promotion, you agree to release Facebook from any and all causes of action, losses, liability, damage, expense (including legal expenses) cost or charge suffered, sustained or in any way incurred by Facebook in relation to this Promotion.
  19. Personal information will not be supplied to Facebook. It is for the use of the Promoter only.
  20. Entry to the competition will be via the Kambrook Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/kambrook. To enter the competition, entrants will need to click on the “Like” button associated with this promotion and then complete the competition form with the required personal details. Entrants will also be required to answer the questions within the form.
  21. Submission which must be:
    1. original and creative;
    2. adheres to the word limit of 25 words or less;
    3. is in English.
  22. Entries must not contain content that is unlawful; fraudulent; breaches intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights; or defamatory; obscene; derogatory; pornographic; sexually inappropriate; violent; indecent; profane; abusive; harassing; threatening; or objectionable with respect to race, religion, origin or gender. Any entries breaching this condition will automatically be invalid.
  23. In submitting entries, Eligible Participants must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, those governing copyright, content, defamation, privacy, publicity and the access or use of others' computer or communication systems
  24. Persons that do not comply with these terms and conditions will be disqualified and will not be considered eligible to take part in the Competition.
  25. Entrants must own all rights in the answer submitted to the competition. The person making the entry warrants that the submission is their own work and not subject to copyright of another party. Entries must be free of claims that they infringe third party rights.
  26. There will be 4 competitors competing in the cooking challenge and there will be 1 x Major Prize Winner and 1 x Minor prize-winner in total.
    1. 1 x Major Prize – $1,000 (payable by cheque or cash)
    2. 1 x Minor Prize – $200 Myer Gift Card Voucher
  27. Total prize pool which includes finalists prizes is $3,279.20 in value.
  28. Winners of the cooking challenge will be chosen by the Kambrook Judging panel on Thursday 5th March 2015 at Breville Pty Ltd (ABN: 98 000 092 928) of Building 2, Port Air Industrial Estate, 1A Hale Street, Botany, NSW 2019
  29. Winners will be contacted on Friday 6th March 2015 and informed they have won the cooking challenge
  30. Winners names will be published on Tuesday 10th March 2015 on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/kambrook
  31. A maximum limit of one prize will be awarded to any entrant whose valid entry is drawn.
  32. Kambrook reserves the right to share the winners responses or answers in any promotional marketing incentives.
  33. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prizes. All prize values are in Australian dollars.
  34. The Promoter reserves the right, subject to any applicable gaming authority approval, to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value if the prize is for some reason unavailable.
  35. It is the entrant’s responsibility to advise the Promoter of any change of personal details.
  36. Winners must take the prize as offered. Once the prize has left the Promoter’s premises, the Promoter is no longer responsible for any late or misdirect prizes.
  37. This campaign is a national campaign that includes all states and territories within Australia.
  38. Entry is only open to Australian residents.
  39. Employees, directors, management and any family members of the Promoter are excluded from entry.
  40. Entrants can only register for the competition once.
  41. Prizes are not transferable.
  42. Winners may not exchange their prize for cash or other prizes.
  43. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered during the course of this promotion or associated with delivery of the prize.
  44. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter makes no representation or warranty as to the quality and/or suitability of the prize.
  45. The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers and prize suppliers. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at https://aperfectpantry.com.au/contact/privacy-policy In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, if an entrant selects the ‘Please send me news and promotions from Kambrook’ tick box at the time of entry, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use their PI for promotional and marketing purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning that entrant. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter will not disclose entrant’s personal information to any entity outside of Australia
  46. The Promoter reserves the right to use winners’ names for promotional purposes only. All entries and information relating to the competition remain the property of the Promoter and can be used to further promote the brand and its associated products.
  47. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by you or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of the competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of entries.
  48. The Promoter is not responsible for lost, late, incomprehensible or incorrect entries in the competition. The Promoter also accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from prize winnings in the competition. You should seek independent financial advice about such matters.
  49. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or (without limitation) any other event outside our reasonable control, the promoter is entitled to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition - subject to any written directions from any applicable regulatory authority.
  50. If for any reason the competition is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) technical failures, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the promoter is entitled in our sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and (subject to any written directions given by any applicable regulatory authority), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
  51. The winners release the Promoter, and its related bodies corporate from any and all causes of action, losses, liability, damage, expense (including legal expenses) cost or charge suffered, sustained or in any way incurred by the winner as a result of any loss or damage to any physical property of the winner, or any injury to or death of any person arising out of, or related to, or in any way connected with the Promoter, the promotion or the prize.
  52. The winner agrees to participate in any news media activities surrounding the promotion.
