Lots of delicious smoothie recipes are being submitted in our Blitz2Go Facebook competition, so selecting just two winners wasn't an easy task. The two winners we did pick for the month of October grabbed our attention because they were filled with summer fruits and offered a refreshing drink to the whole family.

The winners for October are: Lizzy Dowhaluk from NSW, and Fong Truong from NSW

Congratulations for both winners. They each won their very own Kambrook Blitz2Go Personal Blendera1sx2_Thumbnail1_KBL20-HR.jpg

As promised, we're sharing their wonderful recipes with everyone:

    • 3-4 mint leaves

    • Lock the blending jug onto the motor base by aligning the arrows and press the ‘PULSE’ button for 15 seconds or until smooth.
    • Remove the blade base and secure the drinking lid on top of the cup.

    Antioxident Booster

Fong's entry is his Antioident Booster, and here's what he has to say about it.

Its my quick 'breaky' to go. Its what I have early every morning. There's minimal preparation as most of the ingredients you can get frozen from your local supermarket. All you have to do is throw it all in the blender. Its also time saving as it takes 1 minutes to make and 1 minute to drink it all down which makes it good for those who like to sleep in and too lazy to eat breakfast. It has everything a good breakfast cereal has and more: B vitamins for energy, fibre for healthy digestion, lots of anti-oxidants to ward off cancer but more importantly it has such a
    sensational taste.

My problem is, Can you do hard vegetables in the blitz? eg: Carrots as I would rather have a veggie shake and there is no recipe for anything like this. I have recently been given a Blitz2Go for Mothers Day.

      Hi Marilyn,

Yes, you can blend carrots, but note that it is a blender not a juicer so the carrot would be blended into tiny bits and have a bit of a thick consistency to the drink. And as always you need to add sufficient liquid in all recipes.

One such recipe you could try is:
      ½ carrot
      1 long piece of celery
      2 hand fulls of blueberries
      Table spoon of chia seeds
Half a glass of cranberry light juice
      A bit of water

I love apple carrot and celery juice - is this possible with the blitz2go and what prop[ortions should I use? Would the carrot strain the machine?
      Thanks
      Caroline

      Hi Caroline,

Yes, you can use carrots, but they must be cut to 2cm pieces, and there must be sufficient liquid. This isn't a juicer, so your drink will have a thicker consistency and tiny bits will be present.
