Carrot and Ginger Soup

INGREDIENTS
- 1 brown onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2cm piece ginger, minced
- 1 1⁄2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 450g sweet potato, 2cm pieces
- 250g carrot, peeled, 2cm pieces
- 600ml vegetable stock
- 1⁄4 cup sour cream, to serve
- 2 tbsp chives, finely sliced, to serve
DIRECTIONS
- Place the onion, garlic, ginger, cumin, turmeric, sweet potato, carrot and stock into the soup maker jug.
- Place the soup maker motor body/lid on to the soup jug.
- Select the ‘SMOOTH’ soup setting and then select the ‘START’ button.
- Serve with a scoop of sour cream and chives.

Are the measurements right on this recipe? I had to add more stock to bring up to the minimum level for the soup maker.
